Along the inner dune edge from West-Terschelling, this is the last piece of forest before Midsland-Noord on the right. The piece of forest was planted in 1951 during the Korean War. This is how it was popularly called the Koreabos, referring to this period. This has not changed since then. It is a relatively small area of forest (7.5 hectares), which mainly consists of Austrian pine and deciduous trees. This area used to be a dune meadow, just like there is a large piece a little further along the cycle path, the so-called 'geitweitje'. A lookout point has been set up on the almost 20-metre high dune. You can determine your position on an orientation table.
