Museum 't Behouders Huys is just like Terschelling: unique, quirky and surprisingly versatile! Step aboard the Lutine and find out what happened on the evening of October 9, 1799, when the ship went down with all its gold. Or take your family on a journey of discovery with Willem Barentsz and his crew to the icy cold Nova Zembla. And did you know that almost all houses in West-Terschelling were reduced to ashes by the English in 1666 and the smoke could be seen far into Friesland? Reverend Grevensteijn tells you all about it. The museum also has a free audio tour packed with fascinating stories in Dutch and in the three Terschelling dialects. All stories can be heard in German and English for our foreign visitors. Come by and discover it for yourself! Entrance fees: Children from 4 to 18 years: € 3.00 per person | Adults: €7.50 Group discount from 20 people. Museum card is valid at museum 't Behoudt Huys. Dogs are allowed inside on a leash.
