Full Moon walk on the Wad and then....... see the Sun rise!

The Wad is already enchanting during the day, but the Wad at night under the enchanting light of the full moon is almost magical and unforgettably beautiful. Under a full moon we take our first steps on the Wad, together with our guide Oene. It is so special to walk in the dark with only the light of the month with literally nothing around you. Where normally there is a wild sea, there is simply nothing. Oene, will tell us something about the richness of the Wad, the flora and fauna on the island and about the Moon, the Sun, ebb and flow and more…. Marieke takes you to a beautiful stone circle in which, whoever wants, can take a seat to be quiet and connect with yourself, the energy of the moon, the Wadden and with that which needs attention. This is also a great moment to stop and feel what you are grateful for. We will do this during a short meditation* The moment the moonlight gives way to the sun is a moment that stays with you. The difference of energy, the different colors, the sparkles, the birds that wake up and that clearly show this is so special and beautiful! A good time to turn on your inner sun and reflect on your intention for this beautiful new day that has arrived in a beautiful way. A day that you can fill in with your energy, laughter, humor, inspiration, creativity and love. Your day! After the breathtaking rise of the sun, we leave the Wad and take a quiet and mindful walk on the Boschplaat towards the Jan Thijssensdune viewpoint. From this dune we have a great view. Different types of landscapes: Wad, drifting dunes, heath, beach, salt marsh and polder. It is a breeding ground for many seabirds. Would you like to take the plunge, to relax for a moment during your holiday and to connect with the magic of nature? *Meditation, you are free to participate in a short meditation on the Wadden, if you do not want this, this is no problem at all. Oene catches you. weather forecast If the weather forecast is such that it is not safe to go on the Wad. Then we first look at an alternative route. If this is also not possible due to the weather forecast, the walk will be moved to later in the day. Duration: 3 to 3.5 hours. Suitable for people from 12 years.

Important to know

What clothes do I wear when walking on the Wad? It is best to wear layers of clothing. Also, just to be on the safe side, bring a scarf, gloves and hat. A nice windbreaker or rain jacket is also very useful. Also, think carefully about which shoes/boots you wear. There are no gullies or other deep holes on the Wad, but your shoes will certainly get wet and dirty. It is also possible to go barefoot, but keep in mind that there may be sharp shells here and there. It is also nice to wear good and appropriate shoes for the walk on the Bosplaat. You can change shoes in the meantime.
